Anna Lena Phillips Bell is a writer, teacher, editor, and maker. Her book Ornament received the 2016 Vassar Miller Prize and was released in April 2017 by the University of North Texas Press. She is the recipient of a 2015 North Carolina Arts Council Fellowship in literature, and her recent work includes an artist’s book and travel-sized guide to poetic forms, A Pocket Book of Forms, selected for inclusion in exhibitions at Abecedarian Gallery and Asheville Bookworks.
